America President Obama announces the end of the Iraqi War

According to The Yomiuri Shimbun and Jiji Press, President Obama made a speech at Fort Bragg army base in North Caroline on 14th December, and he said that American forces stationed in Iraq were going to withdraw from there. 

By Jiji Press, President Barack Obama declared, “the future of Iraq makes the Iraqis. Iraq War will come to an end.” The article about President Obama’s speech by The Yomiuri Shimbun also said that American forces in Iraq which decreased to 5,500 soldiers held the dissolved ceremony in Baghdad on 15th December. They will complete the mission then. 

Depending on Jiji Press, Bush former administration broke off the discussion of United Nations Security Council in 2003 and firmly opened hostilities. “The illegal war” criticized from all over the world will be finally over after about 9 years. 

According to Jiji Press, President Obama made a speech in front of returned soldiers, and that the final batch of troops moved across the border of Iraq and Iraq War will become ‘A part of the world’s history’. He mentioned that the U.S. forces and our country came around “The historical moment”. Even though a great many people were sacrificed during the conflict, Obama praised the troops who engaged in their military operations and the task of reconstruction. In addition, he referred about disputing of the justice on Iraq War where he had taken to an opposing position. “We had had the many troubles and difficulties”. He however, emphasized the good results were derived by it, and said “We could set sovereignty and gave stabilization and self-sustaining to Iraq.” 

The Yomiuri Shimbun, on the other side, the President pointed out that “This war costs about 4,500 Americans of their lives”, and thanked the soldiers and their families for “their hardship and devotion.” He expressed his sympathy to the war dead. But President Obama avoided making any definite comment that America had “WON” in the Iraq.
